If the high cost of gasoline or the high cost of home insurance hasn't hasn't convinced you that republicans suck at protecting your wallet, maybe the failed promises of energy deregulation will. According to the Houston Chronicle:For Reliant customers who have remained on the same plan since deregulation started — a plan now called the Residential Flex Plan — the price per kilowatt-hour remains 13.7 cents through May, but could jump to 14 or 15 cents with a scheduled adjustment then if natural gas prices stay where they are now, spokeswoman Pat Hammond said."We can't predict what the prices will be at that point," Hammond said.
Of course, we can all predict that we are going to continue to get screwed from the republican concocted brain fart called "deregulation". Just like insurance deregulation, the promises of increased competition and lower rates have never materialized and Hammond and company have been reduced to making excuses after excuses trying to cover for Rick Perry after he farted in their face......while standing in an elevator. According to Governor Perry:
The hard working citizens of Texas should know better than to believe anything I say. Of course, most Texans, or at least 39% of them, are pretty damn stupid and cling on my every promise of lower taxes, electricity, college education, gasoline, and insurance. They are the true diehards of the republican party and the true idiots of Texas.
Well, Perry didn't really say that, but he must be thinking it. You've got to be one stupid, blind, and deaf idiot to believe anything Rick Perry or his republican minions say now a days when it comes to protecting your financial stability in this volatile market.
