Many in Texas might be struggling to make ends meet with the increases in insurance, electricity, gasoline, food, health care and college education costs, but there is so much more to be thankful for. So on Thursday when you are standing around the stuffed turkey, holding hands, with your head down, think about giving thanks for the following:College.
Thank God you bought the Texas Tomorrow Fund account 3 years ago because the cost of tuition at Texas University has risen by 63% with no end in sight. And too bad for everyone else because the TTF has been closed, is $200 million in the hole, but is guaranteed by the Constitution to pay all accounts.
Electricity.
Thank God for Al Gore's internets, all of them, because if you don't have access to the internet to shop around for lower electricity, you probably are getting screwed by Reliant energy.
Insurance.
Thank God that your insurance rates have tripled because now the insurance companies are flush with money and will pay your next claim in a timely manner.
Environment
Thank God for our pollution. With pollution there is industry. And with industry there are jobs. With jobs there is money to pay for health care.
Health Care
Thank God for a job, for without a job, there is no health insurance.
2008
And thank God that elections for a new State Representative and State Senator will take place next year. We can't stand this much prosperity.
Hum........maybe Texans are the ones who got stuffed.

There is no such institution as Texas University. Perhaps you are referring to the University of North Texas?
