The good news is that Chris Baker, the right wing talk show host of KTRH (Keep The Rightwinger Here) has been canned by Michael "Chickenhawk" Berry the new director of Clear Channel in Houston. The bad news is that Michael "Chicken Hawk" Berry will now take his place as well as an extended version of Sean InSannity.Chris Baker has been the right wing nut of Houston and an annoying one at that. He was a rabid, foaming at the mouth, anti-immigrant talk show host. He was ignorant, relying on simple one-liners that would appeal to the ignorants of the Houston area. He was the equivalent of what he called "Katrina trash". And as of today, he was gone.
Unfortunately he is being replace by Michael Berry, the soon to be former Houston City Council Member, 36 year old, no kids, but not willing to serve his country in Iraq, even though he urges others to join, Michael "Chicken Hawk" Berry.So for all you hypocrites, continue to tune into KTRH.

Come on. Quit perpetuating the 'Big Lie' about anyone being 'anti-immigrant' - it's getting as old as it is disingenuous. In fact, it smacks of race-baiting to promote an agenda if anything.
The argument Baker and anyone concerned with the well-being of our country lies soley against ILLEGAL Immigration, not immigration itself. It's a question of the rule of law, which, by the way, has made our land a magnet for those seeking to escape countries totally bereft of it.
I've heard Mr. Baker repeat ad nauseam that he is opposed not to immigration, simply ILLEGAL immigration. The guy has campaigned tirelessly against the human exploitation of these illegal immigrants by coyotes, handlers and US employers. Surely, you can come up with a better argument than distorting the obvious truth to suit your agenda.

The point of the thread is about Baker's dismisal from KTRH, not what your nutjob opinions are concerning ILLEGAL immigration.
Baker was funny and said things to provoke thought from both sides. If you agreed with everything he or anyone else says, then that is just idiocy. Have a thought of your own and quit relying on someone else to make decisions for you. The purpose of talk shows is interaction and discussion, not just regergitating what the host is saying.
I use to like the baker show on ktrh. I would listen to 740 a.m every day because he told the truth sorry if the truth hurts, you have lost millions of listeners . Chris has a future on other radio stations and will suceed on ratings . G.S

Baker was good for a laugh while sitting in evening traffic. I could only handle him for about an hour or so, then the repetition and hammering on the same issue just became too much. And anyone who had an good argument against him was dismissed for being a lover of "insert racial stereotype here" - and I just can't listen to Berry either, he's a chicken -afraid to take a stand and his monotone voice puts me to sleep.

sounds like you southern liberals were really happy to see Chris leave... It's good to know how effective he was at showing you for the worthless trash you are. If he was as ineffective and brainless as you describe him, I doubt we'd be reading any of these comments. I've been listening to him for a month now, and he's great! Really honest, and does not hide his bias toward the conservative side of life, which is what we need here, more conservatives kicking the #$%@ out of liberals.
I enjoyed listeinng to his views but I had to turn the volume down when the bar-room lawyers and pea-brains started phoning in with half-baked (excuse the pun) "solutions" to the countrry's problems .. I notice that most of the Baker antagonists in this blog celebrate the ever more popular practice of illiteracy ...
