According to the Galveston Daily News, which broke the story, Tom Delay has decided to drop out of the Congressional race instead of meeting the wrath of his district. With 2 of his top aides going to jail, 2 others under investigation, and a close friend, Jack Abramoff sentenced to over 5 years, it is obvious Tom DeLay stinks.This is a sad day for America, yet a great day also. It is a shame we tolerated the unethical behavior of DeLay instead of holding our elected officials to the highest standards. DeLay led the way against a President for lying about sex, but he did nothing but deny, deny, and deny when allegations of unethical and illegal behavior engulfed him and his staff.
Tom DeLay has set the bar very very low for years to come, but at the very least, America has been relieved of the stench of corruption.

Let's make sure that Nick gets elected reguardless of who he may be running agaist.
Nick's name needs to be constantly in the public view in a positive manner.
We need to watch out for DeLay type Republican tricks and media spin/lies.

Nick is a pretty impressive candidate. This will be a tough campaign. Many in his district would vote for a rookie just to vote against a Democrat. Even one with HONORABLE experience.
I guess this means no more DeLay political appearances on NASA's dime..
